The Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program offers minors at the graduate level for both M.S. and Ph.D. students who are majoring in other fields. The minor is declared on the Graduate Degree Plan and must be approved by the BME Director of Graduate Studies. The Master's minor in BME requires a minimum of six credits, which must include:
One BMEn 5000-Level Core or BMEn 8000-Level Core course
One additional BMEn course at the 5000 level or higher (may include courses from the Core course lists linked above)
The Ph.D. minor in BME requires a minimum of twelve credits, which must include:
Two courses from the BMEn 5000-Level Core and/or BMEn 8000-Level Core lists
One course with a primarily biological emphasis (see the Biology Electives list for a selection of approved courses)
One additional course with an engineering emphasis
All courses for the graduate minor in Biomedical Engineering must be at the 5000 level or higher.
